Construction site of Reunion's Island's first bioethanol power plant earns Ecosite label

The construction site of Reunion's first bioethanol power plant was today awarded the Ecosite label by Bouygues Construction in Saint-Pierre, in the presence of Michel FONTAINE, Senator and Mayor of Saint Pierre in Reunion, Philippe BONNAVE, Chairman and CEO of Bouygues Construction, Frédéric MOYNE, CEO of Albioma, project owner and operator, Gino GAUTHIER, CEO of the power generation division at Bouygues Energies & Services, lead firm of the consortium, and François LHOTE, Chairman of GTOI (Colas group), co-contractor. It recognises the work of the 80 employees involved in the construction of the 41MWe plant, which will strengthen the island's power grid and which is due to be commissioned as of late 2017.
